How to package and price it
Right now, somewhere in your city, a woman in her mid-forties is lying awake at 3am with a racing heart, soaked in sweat, wondering if she's losing her mind. She's been to her GP. She's been told "it's just hormones" and handed a pamphlet.
She's not looking for a pamphlet. She's looking for a practitioner who actually understands what's happening to her body - and who has a structured, evidence-based program to help her through it.
Here's what's driving the demand right now, and why it's only growing:
1 in 2
women experience significant symptoms that impact daily life
$600B+
global menopause market projected by 2030
80%
of women feel underserved by conventional healthcare during this transition
The conversation around menopause has shifted dramatically. Celebrities are talking about it. There's mainstream media coverage. Women are no longer willing to just push through - they're actively seeking solutions and they're prepared to invest in them.
And despite this surge in demand, the majority of health practitioners still haven't built a structured offer specifically for this demographic. The window to position yourself as the go-to person in this space is open - but it won't be indefinitely.
"The practitioners I've watched build thriving businesses in the last two years almost all have one thing in common: they chose a niche that was underserved, high-need, and full of motivated buyers. Menopause ticks every single box."
Before you build anything, you need to understand the buyer - because this demographic is genuinely different to most health consumers, and in all the right ways.
She's already motivated. You don't have to convince her she has a problem. She knows. She's been living it - sometimes for years. What she needs is someone who can actually help, not more conflicting information from Google.
She has disposable income. Women in their 40s and 50s are typically in their peak earning years. Price resistance is significantly lower than with younger demographics when the value is clear and the practitioner is credible.
She's tried the DIY approach and it hasn't worked. She's already bought supplements, watched YouTube videos, and downloaded free guides. She's ready to invest in structured support from someone who actually knows what they're doing.
She refers like crazy. When a woman gets real results with her perimenopause symptoms, she tells every friend who's going through the same thing. Word of mouth in this niche is exceptional - your best marketing is a client who slept through the night for the first time in two years.
She completes programs. Because she's invested emotionally as well as financially. Completion rates in menopause programs are consistently higher than general wellness programs - which means better results, better testimonials, and better word of mouth.
"When a woman finds a practitioner who genuinely gets what she's going through - she commits. She invests. She finishes your program. And then she sends her friends."
"Menopause program" is not a positioning statement. It's a starting point. The practitioners who cut through the noise - and command premium prices - are the ones who get specific about who they help and what transformation they deliver.
Here's the good news: there are multiple lucrative angles within this niche, and you don't need to serve all of them. Pick the one that aligns most closely with your existing expertise and ideal client.
Angle 1 - The weight angle
"Help for the hormonal weight gain you can't shift no matter what you do"
Best for: nutritionists, dietitians, personal trainers with a nutrition focus. Speaks to the #1 complaint of perimenopausal women.
Angle 2 - The energy & sleep angle
"Stop the exhaustion cycle - sleep better, think clearer, feel like yourself again"
Best for: health coaches, naturopaths, functional medicine practitioners. Addresses the symptoms that impact daily function most.
Angle 3 - The hormone balance angle
"Understand your hormones and take control of your menopause experience"
Best for: naturopaths, clinical nutritionists, integrative practitioners. Appeals to the analytically minded woman who wants to understand, not just cope.
Angle 4 - The whole-woman angle
"Thrive through perimenopause - a complete program for mind, body & hormones"
Best for: health coaches, wellness practitioners. The broadest angle - works well when you want to serve the full picture rather than one symptom cluster.
A note on specialisation within your modality
You don't need to abandon your existing expertise - you layer the menopause lens on top of it. A personal trainer becomes a menopause fitness specialist. A naturopath becomes a menopause naturopath. A health coach becomes a perimenopause coach. Same skills, sharper positioning, more motivated clients.
The clearest way to find your angle: look at what your existing clients are already asking you about. If three different women this month have mentioned weight gain, poor sleep, or hormonal chaos - that's your market telling you exactly what they need.
Ask yourself these questions to find your angle:
Which menopause symptom do I have the most clinical knowledge and experience with?
What are my existing clients in their 40s and 50s already asking me about?
Which type of transformation am I most excited to help women achieve?
Where does my existing expertise (nutrition, movement, mindset, hormones) overlap most with menopause?
Here's where most practitioners get stuck - not in deciding whether to build a menopause program, but in knowing what to actually put inside it. This is the part that takes the most time to get right, because a great menopause program isn't just information. It's structured transformation.
Every module needs to move the client from a specific "stuck" place to a specific "better" place. Here's the framework I use - and the transformation arc each module needs to create:
Module 1
Understanding the hormonal transition
From: confused and scared about what's happening - to a woman who understands her body and can make informed decisions
Module 2
Menopause mindset
From: "I'm losing myself" - to "I'm becoming myself." This is the non-negotiable foundation - without this shift, clients don't do the work.
Module 3
Testing, tracking & advocating for yourself
From: dismissed by doctors - to empowered advocate who walks into appointments prepared. One of the most valued modules - women are hungry for this.
Module 4
Nutrition for a healthy menopause
From: following conflicting Instagram advice - to eating strategically to support changing hormones. This is where you shine as a practitioner.
Module 5
Weight, metabolism & insulin resistance
From: "I'm doing everything right and still gaining weight" - to understanding why and having an actual protocol. This is the #1 reason women seek help.
From: exhausted, wide awake at 3am - to rested and restored. Quick wins here create momentum for the rest of the program.
Module 7
Stress, cortisol & adrenal health
From: overwhelmed and burnt out - to understanding that stress management isn't optional in menopause - it's clinical. Often the missing piece.
Module 8
Movement for menopause
From: exercising the same way as always and wondering why it's not working - to a strategic movement plan for bone density, metabolism, and hormone balance.
Module 9
HRT/MHT - the evidence
From: confused by conflicting, fear-driven information - to confident in her choices with evidence-based information. Positions you as a trustworthy, modern practitioner.
Module 10
Supplements & products
From: cupboard full of random supplements she's not sure she needs - to a clear, symptom-based protocol. The cherry on top - creates fast, visible results.
Notice the pattern: every module starts with a specific emotional or practical "stuck" state and ends with a clear, better place. That's what makes a program feel transformational rather than educational. Information without transformation is just a textbook.
"The question to ask yourself when building any module is not 'what do I want to teach?' - it's 'what does my client need to believe, feel, or be able to do differently by the end of this?' That shift in thinking changes everything."
The same program content can be packaged in radically different ways - and the packaging determines both your audience and your revenue. Here's what works at each level:
Group program
$997 - $1,497
10 women per cohort = $10-15k. Run 2-3 cohorts per year and you have a six-figure stream from one program. The most scalable and social model.
VIP 1:1 package
$2,000 - $5,000
High-touch with testing and personalised consults. Enrol just 4 clients per month and you're looking at $8-10k. Best for clinical practitioners with testing capabilities.
Self-study course
$197 - $297
Passive income, zero live delivery required. Sell 30 and that's $8,910-$14,910. Works best once you have an engaged audience to sell to.
Membership
$47 - $97/month
Predictable recurring revenue. 50 members at $77/month = $46,200 per year. Higher delivery commitment but unbeatable for income stability.
Most successful practitioners start with one model - usually the group program, because it creates social proof, testimonials, and momentum quickly - and then layer in other options once the first cohort is done.
The pricing mindset shift you need
Perimenopausal and menopausal women are not shopping for the cheapest option. They're looking for the most credible, comprehensive solution to a problem that is significantly impacting their quality of life. Price accordingly. Underpricing signals that you don't fully believe in what you're offering - and your clients will feel that.
"I rolled this program out to my personal training and group fitness clients and they loved it. It allowed me to feel really confident in what I was teaching them - and it gave me an extra $12k that month. This is the new way for me to work."
Peta Shelly, Personal Trainer - Functional Fitness Expert
"I was able to very quickly tweak it for my niche, create my videos and lessons and get my program launched. It felt totally like my own program. I felt so confident knowing it was tried and tested - and the best bit is my clients love it."
Tessa Rickard, Nutritionist for Hashimoto's - The Thrive Method
You now have the framework. You know why the niche is compelling, who your buyer is, how to find your specific angle, what a great program teaches, and how to price it.
The question is: how long are you going to take to actually build it?
Creating a comprehensive, clinically sound, beautifully designed 10-module program from scratch takes most practitioners 6-12 months. Writing the lessons, designing the slides, creating the handouts, building the marketing materials. That's assuming you know how to do all of it, and that you have the time alongside your existing client load.
I built the program described in this guide - and then I white-labelled every piece of it so you don't have to start from scratch.
